About

Hi, I’m Miriam Reason. I am a trainee psychotherapist, wellbeing consultant and mindfulness teacher.

I set up Reasonful after leaving the corporate world to work in mental health instead. I worked for a multinational insurance company for a number of years before making the move, my last role being in the Operations and Technology department as Chief of Staff to the COO.

I have a BA in Economics & Management from the University of Oxford and an MSc in the Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health from King’s College London. I bring my academic training in mental health and past corporate experience into all of my workshops, talks and classes. I am in the process of training as an integrative psychotherapist at Regent’s University London and am an accredited mindfulness teacher with the UK College of Mindfulness Meditation (BPS approved).

FAQs

  • Miriam — “Since learning what mental health was for the first time aged 19 through unfortunate firsthand experience, I have been on a quest. My goal? To better understand and raise awareness of all aspects of mental health in workplaces and in society. I am also determined to provide the support to others that so helped me in my own recovery all those years ago and still keeps me well today.

Mindfulness has played a huge part in my own mental health journey which is why I am so excited to be teaching it. It offers us the opportunity to put some distance between us and our thoughts, gives us the headspace to take action on the things causing us difficulty, and helps us be present.“

  • Miriam — “Well firstly, ‘Reasonful’ is an opportunistic play on my surname. But more importantly, I think it encapsulates all of the things mental health and wellbeing are about for me. Making meaning of our experiences and our lives, living with purpose and reason, and simply doing the best we can with what we’ve got.”
